Colterra Food & Wine
Wines of Willamette Valley Dinner August 18th 6:30pm $75 per person
Please join us for a special evening of delicious food and wine from the Willamette Valley in Oregon. We will be pairing the 4 course menu with four amazing producers from the Valley: Stafford Hills by Holloran, Evening Land, & Farmlands by Johan and Ovum.
Located in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Holloran Vineyard Wines is a small production label focusing on Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Riesling. They take a minimalist winemaking approach using old-world techniques including sourcing organically grown grapes from non-irrigated vineyards whenever possible, natural malolactic fermentation, minimal use of new oak, and small lot fermentation.
Dag Johan Sunby, of Johan Vineyards descendant of a long line of tillers of the soil, sought to sink his roots deep into the Willamette Valley. Driven by New World optimism and youth, he is anchored by Old World values and a fierce determination to make premium wine.
Situated in the southeastern Eola-Amity Hills, Evening Land’s Seven Springs Vineyard is dry- farmed using biodynamic practices. The Pacific Ocean breeze, volcanic soil, eastern exposure, and high elevation contribute to the natural preservation of the grapes’ acidity and enrich the wines with elegant flavors and minerality. Seven Springs Vineyard is LIVE certified and has been fully organic and biodynamic since 2007.
Ovum Wines has a passion to discover the terroir of the Pacific Northwest. Their quest continues to uncover old vines of Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Muscat, often in unexpected regions of Southern Oregon. The resulting wines are mineral driven, with rich, multi-layered textures and flavors.
